About The Team:

Data Engineers at Gnosis Freight collaborate closely with both Solutions Engineers and Backend Developers to solve real customer problems. They play a key role in designing and maintaining the data pipelines that power our platform—ensuring our database architecture supports the specific needs of our customers and product development pipeline. This work enables logistics teams to make real-time, data-driven decisions and manage their supply chains effectively through the Gnosis Platform. In addition to customer-facing initiatives, Data Engineers also contribute to research and development efforts to continuously improve our platform’s capabilities.

Location: Charleston, SC - HQ - 997 Morrison Drive Suite 305, Charleston, SC 29403

Work Environment: 5 days in office

About the Role:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will harness the power of Python to interact with Gnosis Freight’s robust data model and integrate with our customers’ diverse systems. Your expertise will not only involve traditional data science tasks but will also extend to developing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and providing actionable insights to enhance our service offerings.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code to manipulate data and integrate systems. Knowledge and implementations of Software Development Kits (SDK) is a plus!
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for analytics and business intelligence.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-related technical issues and data infrastructure needs.
• Continuously improve our data practices by staying updated with industry trends and technologies.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
• A solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for tackling complex challenges.
• Willingness to continuously learn and apply new programming languages and technologies.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Logistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
